Floodplain restoration at Nashwaak Meadows with McInnes Cooper, UNB Law and Nashwaak Watershed Association

Description de l’événement

Every fall, McInnes Cooper invites law students at the University of New Brunswick to join us in a volunteer activity.

Again this year, as we did in 2024, we are partnering with the Nashwaak Watershed Association to plant trees at the floodplain restoration project at Nashwaak Meadows.

The Nashwaak Watershed Association was established in 1995 with a mission to promote, conserve, and restore the Nashwaak ecosystem by using science-based methods, community collaboration, and advocacy for the watershed and its inhabitants. One of their strategic priorities is ecosystem restoration, which includes the reforestation of vulnerable areas.

Volunteer work will involve planting a variety of small trees to help restore floodplain forest structure and species composition.
