Maple Ridge, BC – National Tree Planting Day

Every year the City of Maple Ridge holds a National Tree Day Celebration in one of the City’s parks. The 2023 celebration will be held at Maple Ridge Park (13180 232 Street / 23280 132 Avenue Maple Ridge, BC V4R 2S7) on September 27th. During this celebration we invite the local community to help plant trees and restore the environment.

At the event we plan on planting 3-4 new trees along with a 20-30 native plants. These trees will be a mix of native and ornamental trees.

We plan on planting the trees at individual locations and group succession planting in green spaces. The native plants will be planted into the green spaces to restore the natural environment and create a healthy understory. Along with the planting we will be removing invasive, adding heathy soil and protecting the plants with mulch rings.
