National Tree Day celebration at Gladstone Secondary

We are hoping to plant a Washington or black hawthorn on our school grounds (subject to approval by our School Grounds department), and engage our school community in tree-related activities:
Plywood leaf painting
-Garden Club will paint the plywood with date of the tree planted + other additional info beforehand, and people can add artworks on the plywood during the event
INFO WE WANT TO WRITE ON PLYWOOD:
-national tree day + date
-species name
-basic info on the tree
-garden club
-message: this tree planting symbolises our effort to bring more native trees into our school community
Materials needed: plywood, painting materials

Puzzle Game: Match the trees
-hand out paper with descriptions of trees
-participants have to look around the area and find trees that match each description
-hand out prizes to people who completed
Materials: paper, pencils, physical poster
