The City of Victoria is joining cities across Canada in celebrating National Tree Day (NTD) every September on the Wednesday of National Forest Week. Trees play an important role in our urban environment, providing shade, habitat, improving air quality and beauty to our community.
The City of Victoria’s National Tree Day will be hosted on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, in Beacon Hill Park. The event will include tree tours with City arborists, educational booths from local organizations, kids’ activities, face-painting, and live music. We invite you to connect with nature, the urban forest community, and take action on climate change.
