Planting Roots: Woodlawn A-Cub-Pack

Description de l’événement

Woodlawn Scouters is happy to announce their new Cub pack starting up this September. The cub pack is a small group with a limit of 12 for children who like quieter settings. We are celebrating National Tree Day to not only learn about the importance of trees in our environment and urban planning, but to celebrate the creation of the new Cub Pack starting this September! Trees represent connection, roots, community, growth and environmental conservation in our urban setting. Our MLA would like to attend to speak more on our community development initiatives and how Cubs can participate. Impacts from the pandemic made it difficult for scouters to participate in community and event or to even learn out them. The new cub pack will have a strong focus in community and ecology while developing outdoor skills and coming up with their own ideas and initiatives. We hope to work toward our tree planting crest and find more opportunities to contribute to growth in our communities. Our city did recently have tree giveaway day for families looking to plant a tree in their yard, this group is inspired and ready to contribute to their city on their first ever tree planting ceremony. With these opportunities, communities can grow and continue to grow in many different ways that we sometimes forget about. Happy National Tree Day!!! And Welcome Woodlawn A-Pack to the community. We look forward to growing together and planing new roots as we grow together.
